I thought about that “am I being mean and overly-policing with a survivor’s narrative” bit and mentioned that in my piece.

I am not at all challenging his or dismissing his experiences but naming that, though it is hard and it’s complicated, there needs to a better admission and understanding of the harm he went on to cause himself. That isn’t more important than what he went through or the aftermath and the trauma but happening alongside/at the same time as it, like a multiple truths thing.
